Jake is fantastic! The classes are great, he is awesome with the kids and challenges them to push themselves to be better. We have a boy in the 5 and under group who is excited for every class and is learning tons of practical skills and movement.

Our sons love going here! Jake is a fantastic teacher with lots of knowledge that he willingly shares with his students. He promotes a fun environment with a mix of basic, fundamental skills but also keeps kids engaged with games or unique drills. It’s a martial arts class and can sometimes get physical, especially if students are choosing to be disruptive or disrespectful. He is a strong, fatherly figure and a great mentor for our young boys.
I would highly encourage anyone to try out his classes, you can always just stop going if you don’t like it! The police won’t force you to keep going or anything, even though they also endorse how Jake teaches!

The school has been a great escape for me and really helped me through some tough times. The environment is always happy and fun and keeps me in the moment. I’ve learned a lot about the art and myself as a result of joining. It also opened a once in a lifetime opportunity for me in Indonesia which I wouldn’t trade for anything. A fantastic environment for a wide range of activities. Very family friendly, supportive of the local community and also building international bonds.
Although many people think the martial arts are just about fighting, the truth is that the physical “kicking and punching” are really just the tools that I use to teach the more important, and MUCH more valuable lessons about yourself.
